Moving out
When the tenant is moving out, the residence and all the keys must be returned to the landlord. The tenant is responsible for the residence being cleaned and in the condition that is agreed upon, when moving out.
Tips for moving out
- It is wise to go through the residence together when moving out.
- It can be beneficial to write a protocol and write what you agree and disagree on.
- Take pictures of the residence. This is especially important if you disagree about damages or the cleaning.
The condition of the residence upon return
The residence should be returned in the condition you have agreed to in the tenancy contract.
If you have not agreed upon something, the tenant must return the residence tidied, cleaned and in the same condition as it was when it was made available to the tenant. The tenant is however not responsible for ordinary wear and tear, and defects that the landlord himself is obligated to remedy.
