The tenant must pay rent to the landlord for renting the residence. The rent must be set to specific amount.
- The landlord cannot require payment in addition to the rent, unless the parties have agreed to the tenant paying their share of the consumption of electricity, water and drainage.
- It cannot be made agreements for other additional payments, like internet.

When can the rent be increased?
During the tenancy the agreed upon amount of rent cannot be adjusted more than the law permits. The Tenancy Act gives way for two ways to regulate the rent.
